Tech Tip Tuesday

Google Draw... need I say more.

Not only can students use this great tool to create graphics, it has turned out to be a beginner's best friend. I am by no means an expert in graphic design, but I also wanted my blog to have a personal touch that was unique to me.

I was able to create my blog header (and most of my buttons and my 'later days' signature) in Google Draw fairly easily.

In days past (I'm talking MySpace html!) I would have to upload photos to a hosting site (ie. Photobucket) so that I could use the url to jazz up my MySpace profile.... I know.... 2003 :D

In any case, having a url for any image is key when working with HTML. This little bit of coding isn't too terribly difficult via Blogger, as they have their fabulous HTML gadget.

Simply create your image in Google Draw.
Then click FILE > Publish to the web and you're done, you have a URL for your image! Super fast and, because I am sharing the URL, any changes I make to the drawing automatically appear anywhere the image has been placed.

PS. I've always used the THIS site to teach myself some basic HTMLing
